I wrote this song at a time when I was head-over-heels in love. Rosy, smitten love. Untethered, woozy love. That particular love has since waned and dissolved but the song endures, I think, because it is a small and simply beautiful. It's funny how a tune can be written about something piercingly specific and then transcend it altogether to live its own life.

I offer this with only one request - turn it on and slow dance to it. Alone, with your roommate, your cat, your platonic life partner, your sweetheart. This is a tender song and that is a tender moment.
